Heathers the Musical Original Cast Recording (OCR) - Perfect for Broadway Fans, Theater Enthusiasts & Musical Soundtrack Collectors

So...HEATHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought my album on here in August last year, but I realized I have not written a review yet. Better late than never! Anyways, Heathers is the BEST, BEST, BEST show ever!!! I agree with another reviewer, there are so many new shows that come out all the time with just mediocre songs and storylines, but Heathers is a stand out star!! I was very lucky to become obsessed with Heathers after seeing a local production of it when I was in Nashville. I don't believe I had ever been so instantly attracted to a musical as I was to Heathers. As soon as the "Freak, slut, burnout, poser, bug eyes, lard ass" started in the first song, I knew it was going to be a great and entertaining show. The music is all very catchy, and there is a good variety of styles in the show. I believe that this would be a HUGE success and one of the most loved shows of all time if people only knew about it and listened to the soundtrack. I try, as often as I can, to get my friends hooked to this show. The show is absolutely hilarious! The music is outstanding! I think one of the best things about this show and soundtrack is that it tricks you into thinking it is just a silly, carefree show in the beginning...then as time goes on, you wonder slightly what is going on. I LOVE how the end of act one goes ("Our Love is God"). This is when listeners and viewers of the show realize that the show has taken on a whole new dark meaning. Right before the end of act one, we realize what a psychopath JD actually is, and you sit there in intermission thinking "Well...wow.... I wasn't expecting that!" The definite standout songs are "Candy Store, Dead Girl Walking, and Seventeen". Of course, all the songs are wonderful, but those ones are the most catchy. I might also add that this soundtrack has been in my car since August, as in...I have been listening to only Heathers every time I drive for over 8 months. It's my dream to be in this show now. Please buy this soundtrack. You will fall in love and realize this is the best show ever. If you are younger like me and can pass for a high schooler, perhaps you will gain a new dream role! :)
